Wildspire
Privacy notice
This page is an outline, not the finished document. It sets out the sections this policy needs and the questions each one has to answer. It is not legal advice and it is not yet in force. The page is noindex until the real text replaces it.
What Wildspire collects, why, and what a parent or carer can ask us to do about it.
Who the data controller is
The legal entity, its address, and how to contact whoever is responsible for data protection.
What is collected
Account details, the writing itself, uploaded pictures, and the ordinary technical records a web server keeps.
Children's data
The lawful basis relied on, how a guardian's consent is obtained and recorded, and how it can be withdrawn. This section governs the rest of the notice.
What is public and what is not
A pen name and a story are public. An email address, a real name, a guardian's address and an IP address never are, and no page on this site renders them.
Who else sees it
Every processor, what each one does, and where it is. If the answer is "nobody", say so plainly — that is a stronger statement than a list.
How long it is kept
A retention period for each kind of record, and what happens on account closure.
Your rights
Access, correction, erasure, portability and objection — and how a child or their guardian actually exercises them here.
Complaints
How to complain to us, and the right to complain to the ICO instead.
Who to ask in the meantime
Until this is written, anything on this page is best asked about directly — see contact. Parents and carers may also want what is public, and what is not, which describes how the site actually behaves today.
